Spanish stock exchange and markets (bolsa y mercados Españoles, bme). It is a holding company, which was founded in 2002 and brings together all related Spanish trading, clearing and settlement system entities. Ultimately, it is the operator of all stock markets and the Spanish financial system.

This company owns, either directly or indirectly, all or part of the companies managing the secondary market and clearing and settlement systems in Spain. At the same time it´s comprised of: 

• The four Exchange markets (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao) 
• Latibex segments and MAB - The AIAF and Senaf trading system (for bonds)
• Meff derivatives market and its clearing house Meffclear 
• The central securities depository iberclear. Moreover, bme is a society which has been traded in Spain since July 14, 2006, as well as part of the ibex 35 since July 2007.
